This control booth, also known as operator booth is one of Par-Kut guard booth / security booth applications. This 5’ x 10’ welded steel control booth was built for a propane terminal in southeast Michigan. The rugged steel building includes tinted glass for glare control. This particular control booth includes the option of a second sliding door which enables access from either side of the traffic island where the trucks are being filled. The booth has extra insulation for temperature control and occupant comfort.
This control booth is used to shelter truck drivers and terminal employees during fill cycles as well as during inclement weather. The weather resistant building is painted with an epoxy polyurethane paint for longevity and has a solid welded steel roof for rain and snow protection. The control booth also includes roof top lift rings to allow for placement on a concrete slab, or up onto a loading or observation rack.
Further customization on this control booth includes the addition of hazardous location electrical devices and wiring. Par-Kuts experienced electricans included an 1800 watt convection heater with integral thermostat aas will as an ceiling mounted hazardous location light fixture with a wall mounted hazardous location on/off switch. In addition to standard roof drain pipe, this control booth included a prep in the floor to tie into customer’s drainage system on site to allow for storm water and melted ice and snow to drain away rather than puddle.
